Elias Marchetti

Senior Advisor — Editorial Standards

Elias Marchetti oversees editorial standards at Sovera Global. His work ensures that every page describing jurisdictions, licensing regimes, and service offerings meets clear, accurate, plain-language standards — so that founders evaluating offshore structures understand the trade-offs without jargon or ambiguity.

Editorial remit

Every published page describing a jurisdiction, a licensing regime, or a service offering passes through editorial review before going live. Reviews cover three axes: clarity (can a reader without specialist training understand the material), neutrality (does the page describe trade-offs honestly rather than selling), and correctness of fact (do specific claims hold up against primary sources).

Scope includes all 59+ jurisdiction pages on soveraglobal.com, the six core service pages, and license-specific guides for Forex, VASP, EMI and related regimes.

Source standards

Where primary sources are referenced — FATF country evaluations, IMF country data, regulator publications, official government sites — citations are checked for currency and context before publication. Sovera does not link to regulator websites that are unverified or to advocacy content dressed as official guidance.

Pages are timestamped with a “Reviewed” date. Where a regulatory environment changes materially — a new regime, a supervisor change, a significant enforcement action — pages are re-reviewed and the date is updated.

What this role is not

Editorial review is not legal advice, tax advice, or regulatory consulting. Sovera’s written materials describe regimes and options; clients engaging Sovera for a specific structure receive advice from qualified professionals and external counsel as appropriate to the jurisdiction.

Areas of focus

Offshore corporate finance, cross-border structuring, virtual asset service provider (VASP) regimes, electronic money institutions, and plain-English regulatory description. Particular attention to jurisdictions where public-facing materials are often oversimplified — Anjouan, SVG, Seychelles, the Comoros Union — where accurate framing matters most to founders making decisions without local counsel.
