What are SEZ benefits?
Special Economic Zones offer CIT holidays up to 10 years, duty-free imports, VAT exemption, no withholding tax on dividends during the holiday period. Available for manufacturing, agro-processing, and services.
Is Tanzania good for mining?
Yes. Tanzania is Africa’s 4th largest gold producer with significant deposits of diamonds, tanzanite, nickel, and rare earth minerals. The Mining Act provides a clear regulatory framework for foreign investors.
What banking options exist?
CRDB, NMB, Standard Chartered, Stanbic offer corporate banking. Accounts in TZS, USD, EUR. SWIFT transfers supported. Mobile money (M-Pesa) deeply integrated into the financial system.
Do I need TIC registration?
Tanzania Investment Centre registration is optional but recommended for investments over $100,000. TIC-registered companies receive immigration support, land access, and dispute resolution services.
Can I register remotely?
BRELA supports online registration. A local registered address is required. Our Dar es Salaam team manages the entire process. Bank account may require in-person or video KYC.
